GDV HealthMate™ has the capability not only to detect the fall but also to provide an alert/ warning messages to the designated personnel. The GDV HealthWatch™ initiates a recording of 20 seconds video with audio and indicates the GPS coordinates of the location of the fall. This information is then transferred to the mobile phone/s of the designated personnel via an SMS. The SMS contains the mobile number of the smart watch which can be used to call user. The SMS also contains a link which can be used to watch the video/ audio and assess the surroundings of the person after the fall. Finally, the SMS provides the GPS coordinates of the location of the person after the fall. This information is paramount in locating the elderly person quickly and providing any medical assistance needed.
In Australia, dementia is the single greatest cause of disability for people over the age of 65, and the third leading cause of disability overall. Dementia is also the second leading cause of death, and is growing at an alarming rate. The number of people who are diagnosed with dementia, and those who care for them, are important to the team at GDV. Common symptoms of dementia are confusion and disorientation of time and place. The GDV HealthWatch™ has been designed to address these symptoms. We want to improve the quality of life for those suffering from this illness and take some of the burden away for the people who care for them. The Health Watch has an inbuilt programmable virtual perimeter (or E Fence) to ensure the safety of those who have a history of wandering. The virtual perimeter is easily programmed by carers to identify the normal areas a patient lives in. If the patient wanders outside the designated perimeter then the wanderer's alert will be sent to the carer via SMS with the GPS coordinates. The GDV HealthWatch™ then provides the carer with a way to talk directly to the patient.
Emergency/ SOS calling has been integrated into the GDV HealthWatch™ and provides instant communication. The market currently has various types of Emergency/ SOS calling devices ,these devices usually have some delay in contacting the user which could have dire consequences. However, the GDV HealthWatch™ provides instant communication (Voice/ Video) to the care provider helping the emergency situation to be addressed immediately. An Emergency/ SOS call can be easily initiated by the user just by touching the Smart watch screen for 2 seconds. The GDV HealthMate™ also sends the GPS coordinates of the user’slocation to the care provider via SMS to help them to locate the user promptly.
The GDV HealthMate™ has a built-in programmable reminder feature to help the user to take their medication on time and to measure their body vital signs. The GDV HealthWatch™ automatically generates an audio reminder at the day and time to help the user remember to take their medication. A similar reminder can be set to measure body vitals signs like BP, Blood sugar regularly.

This tracking will also help medical practitioners to monitorithe patients vital signs to ensure they are within the expected limits.
The GDV HealthMate™ provides a secure and flexible access mechanism to all stakeholders. The GDV Cloud has the capability to intelligently process the acquired information. This combined with expert biomedical knowledge will provide important new insights about an individual’s health status. Active feedback based on these insights, either from health professionals or directly from the system to the individuals, will assist in diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and welfare, as well as disease prevention and lifestyle management. The data is presented in a graphic form to help the medical experts analyse the data. The duration of the data for the analysis can be selected as required (days/ months/ years).
